Prof. Dominic Mwenja has been confirmed as a Keynote speaker during Research Week 2020. He will speak during the virtual 2nd International annual Conference on Project Planning and Management. The theme of the conference is “Recasting Project Management to Address Sustainable Development Goals”
Prof. Mwenja has been an educationist, an entrepreneur and a consultant for over 30 years in United States, Asia and Africa. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) with a specialization in Strategic Management from Alliant International University in San Diego, California, an MBA and a BSBA in Business Administration from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. He has taught at all levels of higher education in the USA, Asia and Africa. Over the last 30 years, he has been a lecturer, a professor, a dean, a CEO, a University President (Vice Chancellor), an entrepreneur, as well as a consultant in the USA, Asia and Africa. This level of experience and exposure has allowed him to become an effective leader, consultant, coach and mentor to many C-level executives in the three continents. He is the Founder of Miramar International College, Nairobi and Miramar International Foundation and Miramar International Limited, Nairobi. He served as the President/Vice Chancellor of California Miramar University in San Diego, California, USA. He is a founding member of the Doctoral Association of Eastern Africa where he serves as the Chairman. The association has developed a model for youth employment and empowerment at the village/ward level where the youth reside. He is a co-author of County Based Rural Universities in Kenya as well as a member of National Steering Committee on Education Reform. He is the immediate past CEO of Mater Misericordiae Hospital where he oversaw the strategic direction of the hospital. He is the Chairman of the Central Bank Pension Fund. In addition, he is a current member of the Kiambu County COVID-19 Strategy Committee which advises the Kiambu County Government on COVID-19 preparedness, the economic and social impact of the pandemic and the post-COVID-19 strategies for the county.
