Fellowship intended to foster the international exchange of knowledge and skills in the field of sports orthopedic surgery.
The International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) was established in 1995 by the merger of the International Arthroscopy Association (IAA) and the International Society of the Knee (ISK). Its mission is to advance the worldwide exchange and dissemination of education, research, and patient care in arthroscopy, knee surgery, and orthopedic sports medicine.
The ISAKOS Global Traveling Fellowship is intended to foster the international exchange of knowledge and skills in the field of sports orthopedic surgery. The fellowship will provide the opportunity for young orthopedic surgeons from five regions to travel with an ISAKOS Godfather to the region of the next ISAKOS Congress.
Fellows will have the opportunity to observe sports orthopedic surgeries performed by highly respected surgeons, discuss the surgical procedures and all aspects of patient management, and discuss and share research experiences. At each center, each fellow and the Godfather will be expected to present a short scientific paper from a list of three such papers provided by each fellow.
