The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to support exploratory studies that 1) develop or apply novel tools or technologies or 2) test novel hypotheses to investigate mechanistic questions in HIV infection, replication, latency, and/or pathogenesis (including neuroHIV) in the context of Substance Use Disorders (SUDs). This initiative focuses on exploration and characterization of signaling pathways that are involved in CNS HIV establishment and expansion.

Phase II of the Joint Canada-Israel Health Research Program seeks to support fundamental research at the cutting edge of biomedical science and global health.

Proposals must be co-led by three independent investigators: one from Canada, one from Israel, and one from a low- or middle-income country. Teams are required to establish knowledge mobilization plans. This could include a range of activities that support research, training, and exchange while taking advantage of this funding opportunity to design a collaborative international research project.

This grant aims to support collaborative research projects that require leadership from more than a single scholar. Its aim is to help new researchers at the start of their careers gain experience of managing and leading research projects.

You must include a principal investigator and at least one co-investigator jointly involved in the development and management of the project.

The grant funds projects with a full economic cost between £50,000 and £250,000 lasting up to five years.

The AHRC standard research grants support well-defined collaborative projects across the arts and humanities in areas covered by AHRC’s remit. You can apply for funding of between £50,000 and £1 million (full economic cost) for projects lasting up to five years.
