Dr Marianne Mureithi of KAVI-UoN talked to Healthy Nation about challenges in research and giving hope of efficacious HIV vaccine.
She pointed that the challenges in research do not mean failure, rather, there is a lot to learn from previous trials that have greatly informed us on improving the vaccines and bringing us closer to an efficacious HIV vaccine. She also noted that the efficacious vaccine for a highly stigmatised disease is the ultimate goal of stopping HIV.
