This workshop was held at the Faculty of Agriculture, on Friday April 1, 2022

Objectives of the project

The general objective of the project is to fine-tune weather-sensitive nutrient management practices,

and integrate business models for accelerated adoption in maize-based crop systems of eastern Kenya.

Achievements

UoN was the selected to be the project host among hundreds of applicant Universities who had applied for the funding.

It is the first funded project in Africa by the Organization.

UoN management was represented by the Prof Hutchinson AVC(RIE), Chair of department, Prof Muthomi, and the Dean Prof Nyangito.

The PI of the Project is Dr. Onesmus Musembi Kitonyo.

Present also  was the Director General of African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI)
