The Pan-African Scientific Research Council is in the process of selecting inaugural members. The
Council’s goal is to support and promote Africa-focused research in social sciences; biomedical sciences,
energy, environmental and agricultural sciences; statistics; applied mathematics and computer science.
The council will provide a platform for multidisciplinary collaboration amongst scientists, fund research,
establish fellowships aimed at young scholars and support evidence-based policymaking.
Applications to inaugural membership are invited from African-focused scientists and social scientists
working in the focus areas identified above. As the first to join the Council, Inaugural members will have
a unique role to play in shaping the future of the Council.
