Mr. Dan Shefet has been confirmed as a guest speaker during Research Week 2020. He will speak during the virtual conference on “The Value of Information Governance, Leadership & Ethics in Higher Education Institution”.
Dan Shefet is a frequent speaker at international conferences on Information Technology Law, Data Privacy and Content Regulation. He is the founder of the Association for Accountability and Internet Democracy (AAID). He is also a consultant and author of specialist reports with the UN and UNESCO; an expert with the Council of Europe on Internet Ombudsman; and Member of the American Law Institute. Dan is also a Honorary Member of the European Lawyers’ Union (Union des Avocats Européens); and a privacy lawyer to Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development/UNESCO; and an expert with UNESCO and UN’s Office on Genocide Prevention and Hate Speech.
