The National Research Fund (NRF) has finalized the development and review of its 2023-2027 Strategic Plan. The new Strategic Plan aligns with the 5th Generation Strategic Plan Guidelines issued by The National Treasury, State Department of Planning and Economic Development. The formulation of the new Strategic Plan was conducted through a participatory approach, ensuring that all programmes and activities incorporated therein reflect the collective vision and aspirations for the advancement of our mandate.
The new Strategic Plan seeks to achieve their vision - "sustainable funding of coordinated research for a better society" in line with the NRF's core mandate.
Chief guest was Dr. Beatrice Muganda Inyangala, PS,State Department for Higher Education and Research.
Prof. M. J. Hutchinson DVC(RIE) attended the launch representing Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama, UON at the Edge Convention Centre, Nairobi on 30th April 2024 .
