Prof. Nzioka John Muthama confirmed as Guest Speaker for Research Week 2020

Prof. Nzioka John Muthama has been confirmed as a guest speaker during Research Week 2020. He will speak during the virtual 3rd Annual Conference on Status of African Women. The theme of the conference is “Women, Climate Change, Environment and Develompment”.

Prof. Nzioka John Muthama is Deputy Director, Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies, University of Nairobi. He has been involved in teaching and research at university level for over 25 years. He has supervised dozens of postgraduate research students. Over the last two or so decades, Prof. Muthama has published over 60 scientific articles and book chapters (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Nzioka_Muthama/stats).

He has contributed to the understanding of the environmental risk management as regards air quality, climate, climate change, Air pollution and policy. His current research is in Sustainability metrics, monitoring and modeling; Methodologies for the sustainability of the Urban environment; Air quality; Climate Change and Attribution; Climate Governance; energy efficiency; Leadership modelling- readiness and maturity modeling, among others.
