On Monday, September 20th, the official Inception Workshop of the SURE-FOOD project took place at the University of Nairobi’s Upper Kabete Campus.
The workshop was officially opened by the Associate Vice-chancellor in charge of Research, Innovation & Enterprise. In attendance were the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, and the Chairman, Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Technology.
The workshop comprised of presentations and discussions of the project’s work packages leaders and their WP teams. The WP teams presented their ongoing research, discussed the insights and preliminary results of the literature reviews, elaborate on the survey designs and intervention plans, discussed the milestones, and updates on the workplan. Also, challenges and any issues of concern were discussed in depth during the workshop, in order to find the best ways to implement the joint project.
