Enabling the Next-Generation of Computational Physicists and Engineers (ENGAGE)

The aim of the Enabling the Next-Generation of Computational Physicists and Engineers (ENGAGE) project is to provide training for early-stage researchers (ESRs) in high-performance computing, data science approaches such as machine and deep learning, and quantum computing (QC), and in solving problems ranging from physics to engineering. The program is coordinated by the Cyprus Institute.

Within the framework of the program, the ESRs will learn to use mathematical modeling, design scalable algorithms, and understand computer architectures and the principles of QC. They will use neural and tensor networks to analyze and extract information from large complex data sets obtained in high-energy experiments and synchrotron light facilities.
