University of Birmingham Global Masters Scholarship

The University of Birmingham has a proud heritage of removing barriers to education to enable the most academically talented students to fulfil their potential in learning and education. In keeping with this tradition they are proud to launch the Global Masters Scholarship to attract and support the most academically talented international students from across the world to our Masters degrees during the 2022/23 academic year. Approximately 40 scholarships will be awarded

TWAS-CUI Postgraduate Fellowship Programme

The TWAS-COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) Fellowship Programme for Postgraduate Research offers fellowships to young scientists from developing countries (other than Pakistan) who wish to obtain all or part (sandwich or full-time) of their PhD in natural or social sciences. Duration: from a minimum of six months to a maximum of 3 years (up to 18 months for a sandwich programme).

Research Stays in Germany for University Academics and Scientists

The aim of this particular program is to support short-term research stays and thus promote the exchange of experience and networking amongst colleagues.

University teachers and established academics and scientists who have usually completed a doctoral degree and work at a university or research institute in their home country can apply.

The following activities can be funded:

Foundation L’Oreal

The Foundation L’Oréal and UNESCO have worked together for more than 20 years to help empower more women scientists to achieve scientific excellence and participate equally in solving the great challenges facing humanity. To date, they have awarded more than 100 laureates, five of whom have gone on to win Nobel Prizes.

IMU-Simons African Fellowship Program

The IMU – Simons African Fellowship Program supports research sabbaticals for mathematicians from African developing countries employed in Africa to travel to an internationally known mathematical center of excellence (worldwide) for collaborative research. All travel and living expenses of the grantees will be covered by the fellowship up to 5,000 USD.
