The 12th Africa International Business Management Conference (AIBUMA) began on a high note with the opening ceremony and keynote speeches lined up. The conference runs from 23rd to 24th November 2021 with the theme ‘Covid-19 Disruptions and Business Sustainability.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, The University of Nairobi Vice-Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama noted that "away from Covid-19, we see challenges in the business environment. We are experiencing uncertainty, conflicts, compromised environments with impacts on sustainable business and growth. This is a circumstance that challenges all of us to adjust and develop a new mindset in our entrepreneurial undertakings. Indeed, this calls for rethinking research, innovation, and technology
for business sustainability and growth".
The Associate Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation & Enterprise), Prof. M. Jesang Hutchinson thanked all the participants for sparing their time to participate in the virtual conferences. "You are definitely going to learn a lot through the online interactions and I challenge all the participants to take this opportunity to learn new ideas and experiences being shared by the various paper presents and other participants" says Prof. Hutchinson.
The Conference will have 8 Keynote Speakers who will be presenting on different topical issues and 10 papers.
