Invitation to UoN@50 virtual celebrations

The Chancellor, University of Nairobi, Dr. (Mrs.) VijooRattansi, OGW, D. Ltt. (Hon), (Nairobi), D. Ltt. (Hon), Moi, invites you to the UoN@50 virtual celebrations to be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from the Great Court at2.00 p.m.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and guidelines from the Ministry of Health, the ceremony shall be held virtually. 

Call for Application for the Pan-African Scientific Research Council Inaugural Members.

The Pan-African Scientific Research Council is in the process of selecting inaugural members. The
Council’s goal is to support and promote Africa-focused research in social sciences; biomedical sciences,
energy, environmental and agricultural sciences; statistics; applied mathematics and computer science.
The council will provide a platform for multidisciplinary collaboration amongst scientists, fund research,
establish fellowships aimed at young scholars and support evidence-based policymaking.

UoN to Host the ARUA-Mellon PhD Training Workshop

Commercialization Training on Intellectual Property & Research Output Coming Up

The University has research output with high potential for use in society and commercialization. Some of this research output has been identified and protected. The products and processes that have potential for commercialization are in various stages of development. Some need more research, prototyping, market research and others are ready for marketing. 

The 3rd UoN ResearchWeek Ends Today

This is the last day of the 3rd Research Week which begun on October 12, 2020. Today's programme has four (4) conferences closing. They are the AIBUMA Conference, the 3rd Status of African Women Conference, the 3rd Annual Nairobi International Multidisciplinary Conference and the College of Biological and Physical Sciences (CBPS) Conference.

By the end of today, a total of 13 conferences will have run at the weeklong event. Hosting 868 paid global participants from academia, government and industry, 347 presentations and 40+ Keynotes is quite a mean fete.

Celebrating the Organizers of Research Week 2020

The 3rd Research Week 2020 is scheduled for October 12 -16, 2020. The annual event, hosted by the University of Nairobi, features 13 different conferences covering a diverse range of academic disciplines and is expected to bring together over 800 participants comprising researchers, scholars, students and practitioners from all over the world.

We celebrate the Conference Chairs and the Secretariat from the Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Research, Innovation and Enterprise, who have really worked hard to ensure that all the conferences are a great success.
