VISIT BY A DELEGATION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE KNOXVILLE

A delegation of Senior Management from the University of Tennessee Knoxville visited the University of Nairobi on Thursday 22nd June 2023, and held a consultative one on one meeting with representatives of various faculties that included, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Health Sciences and the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies. Also represented were the Director Anthropology, Gender and African Studies, and Director, Sports, as well as the Departments of Geography, and Sociology.

UoN among the selected African research centres of excellence

At their recent summit in Brussels, the Vice-Chancellors and Presidents of the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) and The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities (The Guild) have launched seventeen research clusters that aim to transform the nature of collaborative research, foregrounding equity as a precondition for excellent and impactful research to address our common societal challenges.

RESEARCH WEEK 2023

Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research Innovation and Enterprise Prof. Margaret J Hutchinson is delighted to welcome researchers, staff and students to join the University of Nairobi research week, which runs from 23rd to 27th October 2023. This is the sixth Research week that the University is organizing, and will bring together various conferences, and webinars spread across the ten faculties .
