CAPES Announces Launch of 50 Scholarships for Doctorate Degrees

The Brazilian Coordinator for improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES)  has announced the launch of 50 scholarships for attainment of Doctorate degrees in Brazilian Higher Education Institutions.

The scholarships are offered to non-Brazilian nationals  under the exchange program for postgraduate studies for 2021 entry .

The University of Nairobi Launches the Women’s Economic Empowerment Hub

The University of Nairobi officially launched the Women’s Economic Empowerment Hub (WEE Hub) on December 16, 2020. The Hub is a partnership between the University of Nairobi and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The WEE Hub is housed at the African Women Studies Centre (AWSC) in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Call for Application for the Pan-African Scientific Research Council Inaugural Members.

The Pan-African Scientific Research Council is in the process of selecting inaugural members. The
Council’s goal is to support and promote Africa-focused research in social sciences; biomedical sciences,
energy, environmental and agricultural sciences; statistics; applied mathematics and computer science.
The council will provide a platform for multidisciplinary collaboration amongst scientists, fund research,
establish fellowships aimed at young scholars and support evidence-based policymaking.
