BRIEF ON WORLD RESOURCES INSTITUTE PARTNERSHIP MEETING

The World Resources Institute (WRI), is a global research non-profit organization established in 1982 with funding from the MacArthur Foundation under the leadership of James Gustave Speth, whose headquarter is in WashingtonD.C. WRI's activities are focused on seven areas: food, forests, water, energy, cities, climate and ocean.

Informal Workers' Organization and Social Protection Policy Dialogue Forum Kenya

The policy dialogue is part of the University of Nairobi's efforts to bridge the research and practice gap. The University values disseminating research findings for purposes of stimulating policy debates and more so finding solutions to development challenges.

This dialogue on social protection and informal workers is informed by research that has been running under the leadership of three universities:  the University of Nairobi, Kenya; University of Mzumbe, Tanzania; and University of Roskilde, Denmark.

3rd Annual Development Finance Conference (ADFC) Concludes

The 3rd Annual Development Finance Conference (ADFC) conference has concluded. A total of seven (7) Keynote speeches and 23 papers were presented during the conference which attracted over 100 participants.

The conference was held in partnership with the Columbia Global Center, in South America. Speaking during the closing of the Conference, The Conference Convener, Dr, Duncan Elly appreciated the participants, Presenters, and Keynote speakers for participating in the various sessions and invited them to the 2022 conference which will be expected to be even bigger.

4th Annual Conference on Status of African Women’s Economic Empowerment commences

Organized by the African women studies research center, an offshoot of theatrical women studies program located in the Department of Sociology, Social Work and African Women Studies, University of Nairobi, 4th Annual Conference on Status of African Women’s Economic Empowerment commenced with the opening ceremony, keynote speeches, and paper presentations scheduled for Day 1.
