NAIROBI INNOVATION WEEK 2022

The Nairobi Innovation Week (NIW) started in 2015, and is an annual event celebrating local and international innovations while enhancing innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. The University of Nairobi in collaboration with a large number of partners and stakeholders convene each year to organize and execute the NIW event.

FINE-TUNING CLIMATE-SMART NITROGEN MANAGEMENT PRACTICES IN MAIZE-BASED CROP SYSTEMS OF EASTERN KENYA

This workshop was held at the Faculty of Agriculture, on Friday April 1, 2022

Objectives of the project

The general objective of the project is to fine-tune weather-sensitive nutrient management practices,

and integrate business models for accelerated adoption in maize-based crop systems of eastern Kenya.

Achievements

STAFF WEARING AFRICAN ATTIRE ON FRIDAY

According to the Government Big Four agenda and specifically the expansion of manufacturing pillar by producing better goods and creating employment, the AVC RIE staff on Friday were dressed in decent, smart casual Kenyan-produced and tailored attire.

STI Strategy Development Workshop

The office of the Associate Vice-Chancellor, RIE and the Science, Technology & Innovation Strategy Development committee held a one day workshop to finalize the University of Nairobi Science, Technology and Innovation strategy. The committee is Chaired by Prof. Justus Munyoki, Professor of Marketing, Faculty of Business & Management Science.
